Why We Ask for Money
It is a fair question, and it deserves an honest answer. Most of Echo Cosmos is free, and we intend to keep it that way. So what exactly are you paying for?
Not access to a secret. The whole philosophy, the entire library of ideas, is open to everyone without an account, on purpose. We do not believe wisdom should sit behind a wall. What membership funds is not the ideas, but the work of continuing them.
Your membership pays for three things. It keeps the free library free, and growing, so that anyone in the world can read the whole framework at no cost, forever. It funds the ongoing research: gathering and studying the accounts people send us, developing AURA, and building out the Field Reports. And it buys the time to create the guided practices, the audio, and the deep work that a free blog post cannot be.
In other words, you are not buying your way in. You are keeping the doors open for the people who cannot pay. That is the whole arrangement, and it is why the word we use is membership, not purchase. You are joining something, and helping it survive.
